Indication
Cardiac inotrope, vasopressor, anaphylaxis, or severe acute bronchospasm
Dosage form
1 mg/ml/ampule
Dose
Adult :
Anaphylaxis: 0.3 ถึง 0.5 mg (maximum 1mg) IV or SC. Repeat as needed every 10 to 15 minutes.
Asthma: 0.3 to 0.5 mg SC and may be repeated every 20 minutes for 3 doses, then every 4 hours when necessary.
Cardiac arrest: 0.5 to 1 mg IV. Repeated doses may be given at 5 minute intervals.
Child :
Anaphylaxis or asthma: 0.01 mg/kg/dose (0.1 mL/kg of 1:10,000) IV or SC.
Cardiac arrest: 0.01 mg/kg/dose (0.1 mL/kg of 1:10, 000) IV.

Adverse effect
Anxiety, tremor, restlessness, dizziness, headache, palpitations, cerebral haemorrhage, hypertension, tachycardia, poor peripheral perfusion, cardiac dysrhythmias, local necrosis (repeated local injections)
Precaution
Use with care in patients with cardiovascular disease, shock, Parkinsonism, hyperthyroidism, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and in the elderly. Use central venous access for continuous infusions.
