Indication
ensitive bacterial infections including gram-positive and gram-negative organisms, especially Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Dosage form
1 gram, 2 gram/vial.
Dose
Adult: 1 to 3 grams every 8 to 12 hours.
Child: 10 to 30 mg/kg/dose every 8 hours
Cystic fibrosis: 30 to 75 mg/kg/dose every 6 hours
Maximum recommended dose of 6 grams daily.

IV: Bolus, Intermittent infusion, IM
Intravenous Concentration
Bolus: 1 to 2 grams in 10 mL of diluent.
Intermittent Infusion: 1 to 2 grams in 50 mL.
Intravenous Rate
Bolus: 1 to 2 mL per minute.
Intermittent Infusion: 1 to 2 mL per minute.
